Poinsettia Christmas Card by Kathleen Rosenfield October 2022
Hey Stampbuddies,
Here is a picture of a super quick Christmas card. I would like to share my thoughts on Holiday cards which of course we are going to make not buy! LOL. Christmas is 11 weeks away. If you can make 2 easy cards per week, you will have 22 handmade, gorgeous cards to send this year! Slow & steady wins the race!
My Poinsettia Christmas Card Recipe:
This traditional card goes together quickly. Stampin’ Up has so many beautiful designer series papers to choose from. This poinsettia paper is “Boughs of Holly.” It is layered upon “Rose Gold Specialty Paper,” which is layered upon ”Garden Green” cardstock.
Measurements to use when layering papers:
Card base 5 1/2 x 4 1/4
1st layer 5 1/4 x 4
top layer 5 x 3 3/4
My sentiment is from “Inspired Thoughts,” the rose gold die cut is from “Painted Poppies” Bundle and the bow is from “Cottage Wreaths” bundle. I did get a bit carried away with this sentiment construction!
To keep it simple, you really only need a piece of white cardstock nicely cut out with a Christmas sentiment stamped on it. Maybe a bit of ribbon and bling would be the finishing touches. This beautiful paper does all the work.
Remember, use any cardstock, pretty papers and sentiments you may have in your stash.
